make your own Archimedes hubs!

Since starting this project we've wanted to make our technology open source. We've also been asked countless times, "it seems expensive, but I like your design, can you send us the plans?" We were always so caught up with the actual making that we never got around to the blueprint making.

But now, thanks to our great friend David Taylor in Texas, we have complete instructions to build your own!

This is an exploded diagram of the the 1.0 hub. It will allow you to build a truncated icosahedral hub and harness Archimedes dome. We recommend not exceeding 40" (17' diameter dome) with struts for these hubs as they can be prone to inversion at longer lengths with any significant wind.

If you want a pdf with the details, drop us an email and we'd be happy to get one out to you.
