Last day of setup. Luckily, the more that got installed, the more shade there was to give us breaks and breathers from the sweltering heat.
We only had a few more things to do to get everything ready for the big weekend.
The Wellness Temple had more art added to it, yoga mats, lighting and a sound system. Just in time for programming to start at 2 o’clock that afternoon.
The Firelight Temple was raised and our flame effect tested.
The pairing with Incendia’s stage looked amazing. A fiery dome to go with domes filled with fire.
The Blacklight Temple was finished up with signage, lighting and easels.
Tico installed a sculptural form in the middle and a few other objects for painting. Artists soon arrived to set up their own supplies in preparation for the next couple evenings.
The Sound Bath dome got set up and ready to go.
A small little Scout installed in a circle of speakers for people to experience sound art throughout the week.
The Production dome was all ready to go with signage, water tanks, recycling spaces and a ranger station.
A perfect hub for all of the practical things that would need to happen throughout the weekend.
The Chamber of Rebirth was also popped up as our own little haven for the coming few days.
Everything was finally ready to go, and just in time. The gates opened and the beach rapidly started filling with participants. Soon over 3000 people were there and ready to experience the spaces that the production teams and artists had created.
This was a huge installation with each piece being made by hand with only the three of us. But we did it, and now it’s time to put on some glitter and get ready to play!
